Air Tightness

Here at HRS services we are able to offer a comprehensive range of air tightness solutions nationwide and even abroad- no matter how large the building - HRS Services has the knowledge, resources and expertise to solve your air tightness problems.

In the last six years, working with blue chip clients, contractors, consultants and architects, HRS Services Limited has provided a wide range of air tightness services on many different building types and constructions.

HRS offers a complete range of technical air tightness testing, thermographic surveys and consultancy services to help clients gain compliance to Part L. Please use the links on the left to understand the services HRS offers, from acting as a competent person to air tightness and smoke tests, thermographic surveys and various consultancy services. If you have any specific requirements that are not detailed, please contact us. If HRS cannot help, we will know who can, as we have created a large network of firms in the business who all work towards the same end goal, aiming to make you air leakage problems a thing of the past.

Air tightness (leakage) tests can be carried out on ducts, plenums, computer/clean rooms and buildings with floor areas of 10m² up to the largest distribution sheds or even office blocks the size of Canary Wharf! HRS uses three different types of calibrated fan depending on the flow rate required. Air test results are available a few minutes after pressurisation is carried out, Portafan air-test equipment is easily deployed into doorways with limited access. Portafan can be wheeled through a building, then built into an array for envelope air tests, this high-profile series of meetings in London and around the country gave delegates the change to prepare for the new building regulations Part L. Ed Westgate, HRS Services director was on hand to offer our experience and support to those new to the subject. Topics covered included the requirements for buildings, demonstrating compliance and pressure testing.
