We have worked on the fire stopping of over six hundred supermarkets around the United Kingdom, we have done these over the last decade and this has given us a tremendous amount of experience meaning we are able to work out where the problem areas are in the quickest time and the work we carry out is extremely cost effective and safety is of the utmost importance.
We have done a lot of fire stopping work for the supermarket chain morrisons in fact over the last year and a half we have worked on over two hundred and fifty of their stores. We use a select team of fire stopping experts who will make sure that you have the correct material specification gives you the fire rating that you need.
Morrisons supermarket hired HRS services so that we would upgrade the fire stopping they had in place in the stores they had just purchased from Safeways. We worked together with the contractors who had been brought in to do the refurbishment on the stores to ensure that each store was finished at the exact time to coincide with the contract time stipulation and we are proud to say that evry store was finished within the time frame.
Most of the fire stopping materials that we used are suitable to be used in conjunction with our air sealing services, if not porous . Rigid and foil faced boards and the pasted batt systems are suitable provided board joints, junctions etc are sealed. Loose mineral wool is not suitable. Any compressed mineral wool system used say to wall heads should be overcoated with either intumescent or ablative paste for air tightness.
