Acoustic Solutions for Residential Buildings

Unless the scheme is registered with Robust Details, there is a mandatory requirement for separating walls and floors between adjacent dwellings, to be tested to ensure that they provide sufficient levels of sound insulation.

For many clients fulfilling the requirements of Approved Document E and the Code for Sustainable Homes can seem difficult and costly. However, this need not be the case. With our knowledge and experience we are able to offer a full acoustic consultancy and testing package to guide you through your development, including design reviews, site audits and the necessary compliance testing.

Section 0.4 of Approved Document E states that sound insulation testing should preferably be carried out by a body with UKAS accreditation. HRS Services Ltd are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and as such are deemed competent to carry out pre completion sound insulation testing in accordance with Approved Document E (UKAS Testing Laboratory No. 2587).
