Building Carbon Emission Calculations

Changes to the Building Regulations have led to carbon emissions calculations becoming a mandatory requirement for new dwellings and non-domestic buildings.  The calculated carbon dioxide emissions (measured in kilograms per square metre of floor area per annum) for the proposed buildings or dwelling should be less than or equal to the target carbon dioxide emissions for the “notional building” or “notional dwelling”.

As holders of BRE Global and CIBSE accreditation, HRS Services are deemed competent to carry out carbon dioxide emissions calculations for Part L Regulations (England and Wales), Scottish Section 6: Energy and Part F Regulations (Northern Ireland).  Utilising dedicated in-house staff, with modern facilities, hardware and links to Sheffield University we provide a holistic and efficient service.
