Over the past decade we have carried out passive fire protection services on many tesco superstores throughout the country, we also did the air sealing operations as well. They gave us specifications of the air leakage that they required and we could only perform this work out of working hours which meant that only the weekend evnings were available to work and Kiers required only one sub contractor to carry out the work.
Only one contractor was allowed as Tescos needed someone to take sole responsibility for the passive fire protection program as well as the air sealing and also they required a fixed price with no fluctuations in price at the end of the project. They needed someone who was able to call on experience and resources to allow them to do a survey of each store and offer a good price contract. They needed a passive fire team with the experience to ensure that the finished project would pass all air tightness tests and that is why they chose HRS Services.
