There are many acoustic standards and requirements that may apply to your project whether it’s an entirely new build, extension, refurbishment, material change of use or conversion development.
From residential sound insulation testing of party walls and floors for a Building Regulations Part E requirement for a house or flat, rooms for residential purposes such as student accommodation, HMO (Houses of Multiple Occupation), Premier Inn, Travelodge, Hilton, Ibis hotels and extra care retirement village and residential care homes.
Commercial sector sound insulation, privacy and ambient noise level testing within offices, retail and industrial developments for BREEAM Hea 05.
Education sector sound insulation, indoor ambient noise level, sound insulation, reverberation time, speech intelligibility testing and rain noise assessment of schools, colleges and university buildings such as for the EFA or a Local Authority to BB93.
Healthcare sector acoustic testing of a hospital, medical centre, doctor’s surgery or primary care centre for the NHS HTM 08-01: Acoustics standard.
