RISQS accreditation, an approved contractor for Network Rail, HS1 works and with over 30 years’ experience of working on thousands of projects across the UK, HRS Services has the knowledge and skills to carry out a wide-range of de-vegetation, tree felling and maintenance works for rail and road infrastructure across the country. The unique and specialist services deliver cost-effective solutions to maintaining and ensuring the usability and safety of the UK road and railway networks.
HRS’ specialist division has a vast amount of experience on an array of structures and slopes, including carrying out work next to major road networks and on redundant and live rail structures. We have also worked on some of the UK’s most prestigious road and rail bridges providing a range of services in order to ensure their longevity.
HRS carry out condition surveys, principal inspections, general inspections, detailed inspection and visual inspections. If required, HRS can provide a range of surveys and inspections simultaneous to carrying out any de-vegetation work. This can both be a safer way to do the surveys and inspections and save our clients the time and money of having to arrange two different sets of labour and possession times.
Our in-house ecologists have a wealth of experience working on network rail projects and are able to provide watching briefs if vegetation clearance coincides with the bird nesting season. Ecological surveys, ecological method statements and mitigation measures for any species found on site can also be supplied.
Our safety management system is well developed, tried and tested for over 30 years. Our personnel hold a wide range of core competencies including NRHA, RSL and DZEP for HS1; PTS + ICI, AC, DCCR for Network Rail and associated competencies for IRATA (Rope Access), first aid, MEWP trained, trained in the use of scaffold towers, water awareness and confined space works, as well as others if required. HRS inspection competencies are held in STE04 tickets and HRS personnel are currently working towards STE05 and the Bridge Inspection Certification Scheme (BICS).
Over the years, HRS has worked for a number of clients including Network Rail, Carillion, AMEY, Murphy and Balfour Beatty, assisting them with keeping lines and tracks clear from vegetation in order to satisfy safety requirements.
