Inspection & Maintenance Services
Specialists in Structural Inspection, Examination & Maintenance services
With nationwide coverage and over 30 years’ experience carrying out 1000’s of Structural Inspections, Examinations & Maintenance work to a range of structures i.e. live and disused railways structures, on the Highways and trunk roads across the UK, high rise and listed buildings, confined space work, removing vegetation, tree felling and many other bespoke projects.
HRS are proud to have worked on some of the UK’s more prestigious road and rail bridges like the Forth Road Bridge, Humber Suspension Road Bridge, Medway Viaduct, Forth Rail Bridge, Tay Rail Bridge just to name a few.
HRS are also very proud of the fact that we often carry out projects that many other companies would regard as too small; to us there are no projects that are too small. If it is a single span bridge, one high rise building, one shaft or retaining wall examination we will be happy to price it.
HRS offer ecological surveys on all structures; this can help to reduce delays and associated costs by surveying at an early stage and reporting if any ecological impacts are expected. If protected species are discovered, putting together a mitigation strategy to help reduce impacts are supplied. Landscape improvements to increase biodiversity by means of landscape management plans can also be undertaken.
The way we carry out the work depends on what best suits the project. Here are just some of the methods we use:- roped access, drones, autonomous inspection vehicles, MEWPs including boat and lorry mounted, on foot or using ladders and scaffold towers.
Benefits of regular Inspection & Maintenance of your assets
Very safe, the possession times and costs of hiring access equipment can be dramatically reduced. Work can be undertaken at short notice, often at the same time as other works are being carried out. Roped access and drones can often be used when traditional methods of access are unsuitable or are too costly. They are a cost effective solution to many difficult access works, e.g. on steep slopes where netting is required, materials and equipment can be safely lowered and secured in the desired location using light, self-contained teams. The flexibility of equipment allows rigging and removal to be done faster than conventional access, meaning cost savings for you. Works on high rise buildings can be completed without the need to block off wide areas of the pavement, meaning less inconvenience for pedestrians and road users.
Why use HRS Services?
Over 30 years’ experience, so you can be assured of expert advice and a tailor-made solution based on your requirements. We are highly recommended by our existing client base, many of whom HRS have worked with for many years (recommendations can be supplied if required).
HRS’s selection of the appropriate mode of access for a particular job involves consideration of safety, cost and the available of pre-existing access used for related work by other subcontractors. For example, on highways we may use the same access as the maintenance contractor. Our technicians have completed surveys using drones, difficult access, MEWPs (including barge mounted machines), underbridge units and cherry pickers in addition to permanent access ladders and walkways.
We understand that no two jobs are the same and that often our clients are working to tight deadlines. This is why we pride ourselves on fast turnaround of quotations, carrying out the work and providing reports where required. Our professional teams carry out works carried out nationwide, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
