The Greater London Authority Act 1999 required the production of a plan dealing with matters of strategic importance to London, including health, equality and sustainable development. The resultant document was first published in February 2004.
On 1st October 2016 the London Plan steps up a gear when the ‘zero carbon’ standard comes into force for residential developments. HRS has reflected this new focus by creating a webpage that explains the latest London Plan for developers and constructors: it’s not only about energy and carbon, but water and other natural resources, biodiversity, thermal comfort, air tightness, pollution management and flood risk assessment.
The Plan requires all of these issues to be competently addressed during both the planning and construction stages of a scheme. HRS has developed an integrated service that addresses the requirements of the Plan for developers and constructors. If you’re building in London contact us now for further details.
