HRS Services Ltd. are a well established specialist building services company.  Established in 1985, we provide a wide range of services to a broad range of clients from planning authorities, architects, main contractors, sub-contractors and individual builders nationwide including acoustics, air tightness and energy modelling consultancy.

HRS Services Ltd is a successful, busy multi-disciplinary building consultancy offering design and testing services to the construction industry.  We are looking to recruit full time Air Tightness Technicians to join us.HRS Services Ltd will consider applications from untrained individuals and further training will be provided where necessary to ATTMA standards.

The Position:

  • The individuals must be based within a 50 to 75 mile radius of London and will work predominantly in that area.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out effective and valid building Air Tightness tests on site, in accordance with HRS Services Ltd accredited Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures, in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
  • Identifying air leakage paths in buildings that have failed a test, to help the client.
  • To ensure client satisfaction, including prompt dealing with client queries and concerns.
  • To maintain a professional relationship with all clients and work colleagues and adhere to HRS Services dress code standards.

About the Person:

  • Strong communication skills and organisational abilities, ideally with an understanding of building construction.
  • Computer literate
  • Professional approach to team and client relationships.
  • Enthusiastic, hard working, self motivated and with a flexible approach to their job role.
  • Full UK and current driving licence for driving vehicles up to 3500kg.
  • Applications from candidates with building trade/site engineering/design qualifications and experience would be welcome as the job role can be extended over time into more technical /consultant roles.

The Benefits:
Salary Range: 50-75 Mile radius of London role: Untrained range= £20,000 to £25,000.Trained range= £25,0000 to £30,000, negotiable dependant on experience.
Holidays: 25 days per annum, plus public bank holidays.
Hours: Typically Monday To Friday ,full time,40 hours per week but must be flexible to work weekends as and when required. Worked hours from week to week need to be flexible to cover for client requirements which can include weekend working and overnights, routinely expected that at max two out of four weekends  shall be working Saturday or Sunday, on average this is, in practice, typically one in four. Out of hours worked on a Saturday and/or Sunday between 8PM and 6AM shall be allocated at time and a half.

The Position:

The role holders may potentially work across the UK from our Sheffield operations base.

The positions will involve working with our teams installing Temporary Sealing to both New Build and Existing Buildings. Temporary sealing work is carried out to e.g. air handling units, inlets and extracts, prior to an air test of the building. The removal of the same is carried out, post air test.

Training will be provided, where required.

Responsibilities:

To travel throughout the UK to carry out effective building temporary sealing work, in accordance with HRS Services Ltd accredited Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures.

  • To undertake temporary sealing works to a high standard, with a good eye for detail.
  • To ensure client satisfaction, including prompt dealing with client queries and concerns.
  • An understanding of building air tightness shall be required, this shall be part of the training.
  • To maintain a professional relationship with all clients and work colleagues and adhere to HRS Services dress code standards.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the range of services that HRS Services Ltd can provide.

About the Person:

  • Ability to work as part of small team with the ability to think alone and work without supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and organisational abilities, ideally with a basic understanding of building construction.
  • Professional approach to team and client relationships.
  • Willing to work out of hours / weekends as dictated by our clients.
  • Enthusiastic, hard working, self motivated and with a flexible approach to their job role.
  • Full UK and current driving licence for driving vehicles up to 3500kg.
  • CSCS Card Holder.

The Benefits:

Highly competitive rates of pay, employed on a labour only subcontract basis

Hourly / daily rates of pay (Due to the nature of our works very little works on meterage rates)

Accommodation / Travel expenses paid where applicable

Generally expect a minimum of 32 hours per week typically Monday to Friday with out of hours working as required. Worked hours from week to week need to be flexible to cover for client requirements which can include weekend working and overnights, Out of hours worked on a Saturday and/or Sunday or between 8PM and 6AM allocated at double time. Monday to Friday out of hours between 8PM and 6AM at time and a half.

Rope Access roles available for IRATA levels 1, 2 and 3

HRS Rope Access teams work across the UK in a wide range of sectors from bridge examinations, building inspections, de-veg works to a variety of bespoke jobs that require specialist rope access.

Due to increased workload, HRS currently have a variety of rope access positions available, for all IRATA levels. If you are IRATA trained and looking for new challenges working for a diverse company, HRS would love to hear from you.

If you look at the rope access section of HRS’s website, you will see just some examples of past works HRS have carried out.

In addition to having an IRATA qualification, you will also need to have your own rope access kit with current certificates of conformity, plus your own safety boots. HRS will supply other PPE required to carry out the work.

For rope access roles, HRS do review a large number of CVs – to make yours stand out it would be useful if in addition to stating your IRATA level and past experience plus other qualifications, if you could also state if you have the following:

  • PTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
  • MEWP operator ticket
  • A clean driving licence
